Sustained Academic Excellence

A series of seminars and workshops were conducted by the UP Diliman Sustained Academic Excellence from 2018 to 2019 to assist degree-granting units in preparing their iAADS and Self-Assessment Reports. Topics discussed include iAADS Preparation, External Quality Assurance Programs of the University, and Preparation of AUN-QA Report. These events served as a venue for University Officials, Academic Unit Heads, and QA Officers to share experiences in relation to QA, be equipped with knowledge in preparing the iAADS and Self-Assessment Report, and collaborate within their academic clusters in crafting strategies for the conduct of External Assessment.

PQA Trainings

As part of the efforts of UP Diliman to have its support services assessed, key officials and staff participated in the 4-day Philippine Quality Award Application Development Course in DAP Tagaytay. Moreover, the UP System and UP Diliman administration, together with the Sustained Academic Excellence Committee, invited Dr. Luis Maria R. Calingo (PQA Assessor) to discuss more about Performance Excellence and Evaluation.

AUN-QA Events

As a member of the ASEAN University Network, the University has been actively participating in various events and trainings organized by AUN-QA. In the recent years, UP Diliman sent key officials and staff to attend and participate in the AUN-QA International Conference and ASEAN QA Forum.

In preparation for external assessment of the University’s degree programs, select faculty members are sent to participate in the ASEAN QA Tier 1 (Training Course for Accomplishing Programme Assessment), Tier 2 (Assessors Training Workshop for AUN-QA Programme Assessment), and Tier 3 (Training Course for Accomplishing Institutional Assessment) Trainings.
