SDG 4 - Quality Education
SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth

To reinforce the foundational knowledge gained from the series of onsite training for the Phase 1 of the ISO 21001:2018 EOMS Certification Project, the UP Diliman Quality Assurance Office (UPD QAO) successfully conducted multiple sessions of Process Mapping and Risk Management Coaching from November 2024 to February 2025.

Various academic and administrative units, represented by their ISO facilitators, QA Officers and staff, participated in the coaching sessions.

Sixty-six out of the 87 UPD units participated, representing a total of 76% participation rate. Among the participants are representatives from the 45 administrative offices under the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor offices and 21 units across the four academic clusters.

With the hands-on coaching sessions on process mapping, UPD stakeholders gained practical guidance on the identification of required documented information and drafting of procedures and processes following the ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) requirements.

The academic and administrative units were also introduced to risk management concepts and are also poised to apply the learning from the coaching sessions in integrating into their strategic planning activities.

Participants and quality management experts convene for a closing program during the online coaching sessions.

Assisting the UPD QAO Team are quality management experts from Macro Vision Consultancy, guiding and providing inputs and feedback as participants accomplish the process mapping and risk management worksheets.

With an 81% satisfaction rating obtained from the post-event feedback survey, the successful implementation of Phase 1 activities will set the tone as units transition to Phase 2 System Development Phase and ensure the development of a robust and sustainable EOMS documentation.

As the University progresses in its ISO journey, the UPD Quality Assurance Office continuously commits to spearheading activities that shall enable administrative and academic units to enrich capacities, building the quality culture to provide quality education and fostering a culture of excellence.
